Service for Frances Langford, 89, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 26, 2016 at Field Street Baptist Church. Dr. John Hall will officiate, assisted by the Reverend John Glover. Burial will follow in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Frances Langford passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 in Ft. Worth. She was born Feb. 12, 1927 in Hamilton County to Eric Barnett and Grace Morgan Adams. She married Floyd Langford on Sept. 5, 1944 in Hamilton.
Mrs. Langford was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother, and a friend to many. She was very involved in Camp Fire and previously served as the executive director of Camp Fire Tesuya Council in Cleburne. She also enjoyed cooking, camping, traveling, and was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 72 years, Floyd Langford of Cleburne; children, Tom Langford and wife Cindy of Cleburne, Jim Langford and wife DJ of Ft. Worth, Don Langford and wife Julia of Cleburne and Cheryl Langford Prachyl and husband Mike of Kennedale; 12 grandchildren, Tommy, Jennifer, Don, Jr., Sheena, Scotty, Adam, Samantha, Jody, Amy, Jeff, Jason and Cindy; 22 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Stephanie; great grandson, Hunter; and daughter-in-law, Gay.
