Francis Strickland

Francis Nead Strickland, 91, of Cleburne passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Cleburne. He was born June 16, 1924 in Charlotte, MI to Clifford and Thelma Tripp Strickland. He married Velma Rozelle Brown on July 12, 1945 in Dodge City, KS.
Mr. Strickland served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corp. and worked as a supervisor for the Santa Fe Railroad, retiring with 35 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 70 years, Velma Strickland of Cleburne; children, Frances Rozelle Goodman and husband Dan of Louisburg, KS, Rickie Dean Strickland of Cleburne, and Roseanna Lee Sharp of Joshua; 10 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and brother, Shirley Strickland. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister.
