Frank Bonk

Services for Frank Bonk, 90, of Alvarado, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 15, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Joseph Ardy will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral Home.

Frank Bonk passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 in Cleburne. He was born May 22, 1919 to Frank and Bessie Pearl Bonk in Franklin, PA. He married Margret Fetcho on April 13, 1946 in Chicago, IL.

Mr. Bonk served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired electrician and machinist for the Chicago Transit Authority and attended Ascension Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Mc Hale and husband, James of Alvarado, James Bonk and wife, Rose, of Columbus, GA and Jane Thomson and husband, Bruce, of Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, John Bogasz, Susan Ford, Pamela Graham, Christine Mechmet, James Bonk, Melissa Kirkland and Al Bonk; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Vicki Gross of Bativia, IL and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marge in 2008 and one grandson.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
