Frank Evans

Graveside services for Frank H. Evans, 63, of Blum, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 20, 2010 in the Hopewell Cemetery. The Rev. Ron Brown will officiate. Pallbearers are Don Halbert, Kevin Jones, Kevin Travitz, Tanner Kirkham, Chris Halbert and Hunter Kirkham. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Evans passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in Blum. He was born September 15, 1946 in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Harry Franklin and Edith Gould Evans. He married Jean Ann Johnston on September 3, 1977 in Clifton.

Frank retired from the maintenance department of Johns-Manville Co. after 33 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jean Ann Evans of Blum; daughter, Sherrie Halbert and husband Don of Joshua; sister Sally Schiecengost; five grandchildren, Aleisha Kirkham Jones and husband Kevin, Dana Kirkham Travitz and husband Kevin, John Tanner Kirkham and wife Amber, Kendra Kirkham and Christopher Halbert; six great grandchildren, Hunter Madison Oldham, Hunter Ray Kirkham, Taylor Alexis Kirkham, Trystan Scout Travitz, Trapper Kash Kirkham and Ranger Paul Jones.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William James Evans.
