Graveside service for Frank Kimberlin, 90, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 in Rosehill Cemetery. The Reverend Eddie Freeman and the Reverend Dan Burt will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers from the Santa Fe Railroad. Visitation will be 11:30-12:30 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Mr. Kimberlin passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 in Keene. He was born Oct. 20, 1923 in Cleburne to Frank Reed Sr. and Stella McBee Kimberlin. He married Thelma Lea Hamby Keeton on Sept. 12, 1994 in Cleburne.
Mr. Kimberlin served in the United States Army during WWII and worked as an engineer for the Santa Fe Railroad until retirement. Frank was a member of the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees, Cleburne American Legion Post No. 50, Alvarado VFW Post No. 9299 and Henderson Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lea Kimberlin of Cleburne; two daughters, Kerri Vaughn and husband Tucker of Valley View and Brenda Webb and husband Darrell of Mt. Pleasant, AR; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a nephew, Larry Bob Kimberlin and wife Peggie of Flower Mound; niece, Kay Parks and husband Mike of Ft. Worth; and numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Angela Shell; brother, A.D. Kimberlin; and two sisters, Ella Mae Miller and Eldris Caldwell.
