Services for Frank Paul Young, 86, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 at Field Street Baptist Church. Dr. Weldon Huneycutt and Dr. John Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Carl Martwich, Mark Martin, Jimmy Estes, Vance Wakeland, Bill Stringer, Robbie Muncy, Louis Homesley and Chuck Greenfield. Honorary pallbearers are H. L. Cain, Jack Quattlebaum, Gary Muncy, Wendell White, Bill Wolf, Johnny Harper and Dowell Harper. Visitation will
be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Young passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009 in Cleburne. He was born to Frank George and Clara Mable Bee Bedford Young on January 12, 1923 in Corsicana.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. in World War II and was retired from S.W. Bell Telephone Co. after 38 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Masonic Lodge of Cleburne. He also was a member of Woodmen of the World and Field Street Baptist Church for over 60 years.
Frank Young is survived by his wife, Tillie Young; son, Jeff Young and wife, Virginia of Cleburne; daughter, Paulinda Proffitt and husband, Rodney of Granbury; daughter, Deleta Austin and husband, Dennis of Early; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his first wife, Helen Young; sister, Loraine Montgomery and brother, Gordon Young.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
