Graveside services for Fred Blackledge, 98, of Cleburne, were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 10, 2012 in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne.
Mr. Blackledge passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 in Cleburne. He was born to Frederick Essic and Rosa Roberts Blackledge on February 7, 1914 in Rosedale, Kansas. He owned and operated several local bakeries. Fred served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleburne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Blackledge.
Survivors include his niece and nephews, R.C. Blackledge of Nebraska, Elizabeth Witt of Mesquite, and Michael Auston of Rio Vista; sister-in-law, Greta Auston; and great niece, Jessica Witt of Dallas; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
