Services for Freddy Leon McCarty, 73, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Darrell Morgan, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Acton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Douglas Moore and Sonny Bryant.
Freddy Leon McCarty passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 in Ft. Worth. He was born August 15, 1935 in Acton, TX to Paul and Annie Pribble Decker McCarty.
Mr. McCarty was a tradesman working at various flea markets and was of the Holiness faith.
Freddy McCarty is survived by his companion of 24 years, Lynn Hicks of Cleburne; daughter, Becky Moore and husband, Douglas of Ft. Worth; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Sug Jordan and husband, Floyd of Glen Rose and first wife, Mary McCarty of Keller. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Dorene Islick, Reece Collier and Oleta Bryant; brother, Kip McCarty; father, Paul McCarty and mother, Ann Decker.
