Garlan Warren

Memorial service for Garlan Rece Warren, 76, of Cleburne will be conducted from 12:00 P.M - 4:00 P.M., Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the family home.

Garlan Rece Warren passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in Ft. Worth. He was born Sept. 27, 1935 in Davis, Oklahoma to Henry Leslie and Edith Velma Franks Warren. He married Rosemarie Sue Miller on August 5, 1968 in Weatherford.

Mr. Warren worked as a contractor for many years. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially searching for treasures, hunting, fishing, riding horses and his tractor. Garlan was always well dressed. He was a family man who loved his children and grandchildren. His independent spirit and loving nature will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Rosemarie Warren; children, Bobby Warren, Jerry Wayne Warren, Cathy Peninger, Karren Romatz and Shelley Dye; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Wanda Roderick and seven siblings.
