Garland Huddleston

Mr. Huddleston was born November 25, 1936 in Grassland, Texas, to Jeff and Zillah Ward Huddleston. He married Betty Cox on October 25, 1959 in Hillsboro, Texas.
Mr. Huddleston was a 1955 graduate of Tahoka High School, where he excelled in his athletic ability and was a 1958 graduate of Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. He served as a Funeral Director and Embalmer for eleven years in Cleburne and in Post, Texas. Garland returned to Cleburne in 1969 and was employed as a welder-fabricator for Computalog Wireline Services until his retirement in 1999. He returned to work at Cleburne Funeral Home in 2000. His first and lifelong love, besides his family, was his cattle and his farming.
Garland Huddleston is survived by his wife Betty Huddleston of Cleburne; two sons, Larry Barton of Cleburne and Dr. Joe Huddleston and wife Lori of Owasso, Oklahoma; daughter, Garla Johnson and husband Joe of DeLand, Florida; brother, Wendell Huddleston and wife Frances of Lubbock; six grandchildren: Josh, Kate, Hilary, Emily, Savannah and Zachary. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Foster.
