Service for Garland “Papa Dale” Stowe, 77, of Godley will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 in the First Baptist Church of Godley. The Reverend Ken Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Godley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Garland “Papa Dale” Stowe passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 in Ft. Worth. He was born July 19, 1940 in Achille, OK to Garland R. and Martha W. Lloyd Stowe. He married Marie Price on March 8, 1958 in Ardmore, OK.
Mr. Stowe owned and operated a HVAC company and was a member of Godley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Marie Stowe of Godley; children, Richard Dale Stowe and wife Trisha of Crowley, Johnny Dwayne Stowe of Godley, Trena Marie Barritt and husband Ver of Joshua, Teresa Ruth Dover and husband David of Waco and Carol V. Parish and husband Brent of Burleson; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Arnold Dean Stowe and wife Sherry of White Settlement; and a sister, Norma Jean McLean of Meade, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
