Graveside service for Garland Dewayne "Runt" Worrell, 83, of Godley will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 3, 2012 in the Greenacres Memorial Park, Cleburne, Texas. The Reverend Kenneth Coleman will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.

Mr. Worrell passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 at his home in Godley. He was born October 3, 1928 in Stephenville to Robert and Irene Worrell. The youngest of four children, he was affectionately called "Runt". In his younger days, he was an accomplished calf roper and was always considered an expert horseman.
He served in the U.S. Army 45th Infantry Division and received a Purple Heart during the Korean Conflict. On June 28, 1957, he married Glorial Fern Walden in White Settlement. She preceded him in death on March 15, 1995. Mr. Worrell was retired from Bell Helicopter.

Survivors include his brothers, Leroy Worrell and wife, Dixie of Stephenville and Melvin Worrell and wife, Aileen of Ft. Worth; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
