Gary Douglas Bankston

Graveside service for Gary Douglas Bankston, 70, of Cleburne will be conducted at 3:30 P.M., Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at Rosehill Cemetery. Mr. Phillip Lightsey will officiate. Visitation will be from 1-3:00 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Gary Douglas Bankston passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 in Ft. Worth. He was born Oct. 21, 1946 in Rockford, IL to Douglas Blair and Lillian Louise Herbig Bankston. He married Margaret Lightsey on June 2, 1967 in Cleburne.
Mr. Bankston worked as a commercial painter and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and a friend to many. He was a member of the Cleburne Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Margaret Bankston of Cleburne; sons, Brian Bankston of Cleburne and Tim Bankston of Royce City; daughters, Tina Holland and Sheila Bankston, both of Cleburne; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Don Bankston of Arlington; and sisters, Mary McClain of Hico and Marcia Pacheco-Loften of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents.
