Gary McAlister

Service for Gary McAlister, 65, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 23, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in the Family Life Center. Reverend Charles Payne and Reverend Brooks Monk will officiate. Burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 P.M., Sunday, May 22, 2022, at the funeral home.

Gary passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in Fort Worth. He was born September 20, 1956, in Cleburne to Willifred Houston and Betsy Louise (Quattlebaum) McAlister. Gary worked as an MOV Tech at various nuclear power plants throughout the USA. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, farming, boating, scuba diving and extensive travel to many National Parks in the US and Canada. Gary was a big guy with a big heart full of life and joy. He was very independent and self-sufficient with skills to fix anything, a great do-it-yourselfer. He was the Best Big Brother to his “Little Sis.”

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Benny & Edna Quattlebaum and William and Trannie McAlister.

He is survived by his sister, Darlene McAlister; aunt, Billie McAlister; numerous cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
