Graveside service for (Leatha) Gayle Murphy, 69, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, Mar. 29, 2016 at Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the Granbury St. Church of Christ. Mr. Kevin Rhodes will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home.
Gayle Murphy passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 in Ft. Worth. She was born Jan. 29, 1947 in Granbury to Fred Lewis and Mildred Allene Ford Thormann. She married Paul Patrick Murphy on Nov. 12, 1976 in Lipan.
Mrs. Murphy was a nurse and also worked as a computer operator for Cleburne National Bank, Tree of Life, and retired from Johnson County. She was a member of Granbury St. Church of Christ where she taught a children’s Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Paul Murphy; brother, Randy Thormann and wife Robin; nephews, Andy Thormann and wife Shanna and Adam Thormann and wife Amanda; niece, Angelique Cornwell and husband Mark; four great nieces and nephews, Catherine, Noah, Henry, and Max; and a sister-in-law, Mary Beth Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents.
