Gearld Headrick

Gearld “Buzzard” Headrick, 77, of Cleburne, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at home. He was born September 30, 1945 in Gadsden, Alabama to Waylon and Ethelyn Weeks Headrick. Gearld married Shirley Ann Smith on March 2, 1964 in Gadsden. They were married for 33 years before her passing on October 3, 1997. He was a member of The Kairos Ministry group. Gearld worked at Texas Trans Co. as a truck driver supervisor and had 40 years’ experience.

He is survived by his daughters, Tina Headrick and Pam Headrick of Cleburne; stepdaughter, Jeannette Ortiz of Cleburne; grandchildren, Chaz Akin, Cheyenne Holliday, Cannon Wade Curry, Jacob Garrett Haggard, and Thomas Gearld Headrick, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Sutton Lee Salazar, Karson Holliday, Lilah Curry, Laycee Haggard, and Garrett Haggard; brothers, William Headrick of Alabama, and Waylon Shane Headrick of Caddo Mills, Texas; sisters, Wanda Headrick of Arlington, Texas and Rhonda Headrick of Alabama.

Gearld was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and sister, Monda Headrick.
