Gene Turner

Mr. Turner passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in Grandview. He was born October 9, 1929 in Navarro county to James Raymond and Agnes Cook Turner. He married Mary Ella Dennis in June of 1950 in Hillsboro.
Gene served in the U.S Army Air Corp and was a retired engineer for the Texas Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the American Legion in Alvarado and the Parker Baptist Church.
Gene is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Ella "Sally" Turner of Grandview; four sons, Ricky Turner and wife, Gay Elaine of Cleburne, Anthony Gene Turner and wife Karla of Rogers, Arkansas, James Raymond Turner and wife Debbie of Cleburne and Christopher Turner of Parker; one daughter, Tammy Turner of Covington; sisters, Joann Ales of Burleson and Wanda Underdown and husband Garland of Mansfield; nine grandchildren, Meagan, James, Tonya, Ena Elizabeth, Shane, Shawn, Heather and Jedidiah Turner, Amanda McNair and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Raymond Turner and his mother, Agnes Turner Woods; one grandson, George Salinas and one sister, Louise Turner.
