Geneva Oliver

Geneva Oliver, 77, resident of Keene for over 50 years, passed away in Fort Worth on Friday, August 21, 2009. She was born to the late, Jack and Leth Watts Ivy on June 15, 1932. She married Robert Lee (Bob) Oliver on July 18, 1953 in Cleburne, who preceded her in death in September of 1989. Geneva was a member of Parker Baptist Church. She was not only preceded by her parents and husband, but also by her son in law, Bobby Moore; and siblings, George and Bill Ivy, Joann Jescke, and Eunice Lawson. Nannie, as her grandchildren called her, enjoyed sitting on the porch, reading the paper and gardening. She was a Christian lady with high morals and ethics. It has been said that she never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She led a simple, but rich life full of love of her Lord and family. She was an inspiration to all those that knew and love her and will be missed greatly, especially by her dear grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Crosier Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughters and their spouses, Debbie Moore, Jeanie and Tommy Bates all of Cleburne, and Vicki and Clint Shrum of Grandview; grandchildren, Tammy Decker and husband, Brad, Darrell Moore, Mike Moore, Travis Ashworth and wife, Jacqulin, and Matt Shrum; great grandchildren, Lindsey, Jenny, Kelly, and Jake; siblings, Iva Lee Worley and Joyce Butler both of Fort Worth, Mary Priest of Cleburne, Viola Roberts of Grandview, and Tracy Gollihar of Whitney; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
