George Bonham

Service for George Wayne Bonham, 62, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 12, 2011 in Eastern Heights Church. Pastor Farris Whitehead and Pastor Stephen McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in Lane Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Bonham passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 in Ft. Worth. He was born May 13, 1949 in Cleburne to Joshua Columbus and Ella Mae Brooks Bonham. He married Debbie Erwin on Sept. 11, 1976 in Joshua.

Mr. Bonham worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 18 years and was a maintenance supervisor with AGC-Poma Glass Co. in Alvarado for 20 years. He was an excellent husband and father. He loved to play baseball and watch the Texas Rangers and has taught his grandson well, who at nine months old has already been to six Ranger games. Mr. Bonham was a pillar of the church and served as Deacon and Usher for Eastern Heights Church. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Bonham; son, Nathan Wayne Bonham, both of Cleburne; daughter, Jennifer Bonham Davis and husband Philip; grandson, Benjamin Davis, all of Dallas; brothers, Bill Bonham, Donnie Bonham and Ronnie Bonham and wife Claudine, all of Cleburne and a host of other relatives and friends.
