A private celebration of life for George R. Connally, 73, of Fort Worth, will be held at a later date.
George passed away at his home in Fort Worth on Friday, March 24, 2023. He was born to Richard Earl, Sr. and Wilma Ester Skypala Connally on August 2, 1949 in Hereford, Texas. George was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. George retired at the age of 67 having worked as a Reliability Engineer with General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin and Miller Brewery. He was a man that was liked by everyone, having the ability to draw people in with his easy-going nature. George could often be found working in his yard, gardening or fishing. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him best. George was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Connally, Sr.; mother, Wilma Ester Skypala; and sister, Earline Elizabeth Adams.
Survivors include his son, Chad Stewart Connally; daughter, Holly Ann Connally; grandchildren, Kaylee Connally, Sadie Kate Connally, and Beckett Connally; brothers, Wilburn Ray “Butch” Connally and Richard E. Connally, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends, including his best friend and dog, Shiner.
