George Davis

George passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, in Cleburne. He was born October 25, 1937, in Scottdale, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Harry A. and Linnie M. (Pritts) Davis. George married Nada Sue Kester on May 1, 1970, in Warren County, Commonwealth of Virginia. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958. Afterwards he moved to California where eventually he became a professional commercial printer with over 60 years of service. George was later transferred to Louisiana then to Texas where he and Sue retired. He loved to tinker with just about everything. The “junkyard” was a happy, fulfilling and joyous place for George. He was of the Methodist faith. George will be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Davis, of almost 54 years; children, Pam Drew, George Davis, Jr., James Davis, Regina Holmes, and Charyl Curtis; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Riggins, and Elsie Poorbaugh and husband, Raymond; and sister-in-law, Emma Jane Davis. George is also survived by his extended family and very dear friends, Robbie and Shella Morris and their family.

George never knew a stranger, just friends he had not talked to yet.
