George Johnston

Mr. Johnston passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2005 in Cleburne. He was born July 7, 1947 in Beaumont, Texas to Charles D. and Kathryn Doyle Johnston. He married Candace Wooten on September 4, 1966 in Odessa, Texas.

Mr. Johnston was a retired contractor in the home construction industry. He was a member of Open Door Ministries and the Masonic Lodge of Crowley.

George Travis Johnston is survived by his wife Candace Johnston of Cleburne, two daughters, Lisa Hamilton and husband Gary of Cleburne and Autumn Johnston of Cleburne; son, Shane Johnston and wife Connie of Burleson; mother, Kathryn Johnston of Odessa; ten grandchildren; one brother, Dick Johnston of Odessa; three sisters, Dianne Hammonds of Temple, Beth Johnston of Odessa and Mignon Johnston of Odessa. He was preceded in death by his father, Doc Johnston and grandson, Zane Hamilton.
