Georgia Lain

Services for Georgia Lou Lain, 86, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 26, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Richard Adams will officiate. Burial will be in Baker-Lain Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday.

Georgia Lou Lain passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in Cleburne. She was born September 16, 1922 in Sand Flat to John and Nancy Elizabeth Johnson. She married Nathan Leon Lain, Sr. on February 23, 1947 in Glen Rose.

Mrs. Lain was a homemaker and a member of Field Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, N.L. Lain of Cleburne; daughters, Shirley Palmer and husband, David of Alvarado and Brenda Lain of Cleburne; sons, Nathan Lain and wife, Linda of Cleburne, Eddie Lee and wife, Patty of Jacksonville and Adam May and wife, Jo of Joshua; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry Johnson of Cleburne; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Lain in 1998 and one grandson, Sean Lee in 2008.

She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother.
