Memorial service for Gerald Jack Collins, 85, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 1, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Ministers Cliff Tinder and Jacob Collins will officiate.
Mr. Collins passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in Ft. Worth. He was born Nov. 21, 1928 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Bynum A. and Florence B. Jackson Collins. He married Arbin Bowers on July 26, 1948 in Hart, MI.
Mr. Collins was a self-employed mechanic and owned and operated Collins Gulf/Chevron Service Station for more than 30 years before retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Arbin Collins of Cleburne; four children, Peggy Moldenhauer and husband Ted of Liberty Hill, Jackie Brown and husband Terry of Baton Rouge, LA, Michael Collins of Burleson and Jeff Collins and wife Anne of Cleburne; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three brothers, Jim Collins and wife Katy of Everman, Bobby Collins and wife Diana of Tucson, AZ, and Dennis Collins and wife Vickie of Seguin; and a sister, Juanita Harris and husband Paul of Cleburne. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Patrick Andrew Collins; three sisters, Bonnie Delbridge, Susie Zamoria and Linda Collins; and four brothers, Harold, Gary, Tommy and Terry Collins.
