Graveside services for Geraldine "Gerry" Garrett, 65, of Keene, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 22, 2011 in the Covington Cemetery. There will be an open visitation after 2:00 P.M. on Friday in the funeral home.
Mrs. Garrett went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Keene. She was born to Leon and Agnes Reagan Moore on May 30, 1945 in Spur, Texas. She worked as a hairdresser for over twenty years both in Sulphur Springs and Joshua. She was of the Baptist faith. On September 26, 1995 in Hot Springs, Arkansas she married John F Garrett. Gerry was a free spirited lady who loved life. Her bubbly personality never allowed her to meet a stranger. She was an animal lover, especially of her cats and dogs. Gerry's outgoing nature and giving spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; and six brothers, Allen, Leland, Ray, Doyle, Wayne and Bob Moore.
Survivors include her husband, John F. Garrett; brother, Dale Moore and his wife, Joan; sisters, Ann Fuller and her husband, Tommy, Louise Smith, and Dianna Reeves; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
