Service for Gladys Bailey, 91, of Riverside, CA will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church Chapel in Keene. Dr. Bill Kilgore will officiate. Burial will be in Keene Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.
Gladys Bailey, 91, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in Riverside, CA. She was born April 25, 1923 in Frisco, TX to Acy Garfield and Minnie Bell Brewer Muse. She married James Leo Bailey on August 12, 1938 in Floydada, TX.
Mrs. Bailey was a wife and homemaker. She enjoyed quilt making, sewing, gardening with her roses and orange trees, games and puzzles and she loved to play the piano and loved music. She loved being around family and friends. She was a member of the La Sierra University Seventh-day Adventist Church. Gladys’ sweet smile and loving spirit will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. As members of Gladys’ family, we look forward to being reunited with her in Heaven someday.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirlene Alexander and husband Bob of Riverside, CA; daughter-in-law, Helen Bailey of Cleburne, TX; brother, Buck Muse and wife Kathryn of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren, Teri Aden and husband Chad of Keene, TX, Jim Bailey and wife Shannon of Cleburne, TX, and Jarrod Bailey of Keene, TX; great grandchildren, Taylor Bailey, Jake Aden, and Grant Bailey; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Melvin, Audie, and Ervie Muse, sister, Viola Muse Readhimer, son, Jerry Bailey, and twin grandsons, Jimmie and Jamey Bailey.
