Gladys Liggins

Graveside service for Gladys Maudine Liggins, 81, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Liggins passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, in Cleburne. She was born Aug. 11, 1930, in Cleburne to Dee and Inez Armstrong Houston. She married Coleman D. Liggins on December 6, 1956 in Cleburne.

Mrs. Liggins was a retired nurses aide who loved people, especially children. She liked working in her yard and garden and was a fabulous cook. Later in life she enjoyed working on puzzles and playing Bingo at the nursing home. She was a strong Christian lady of the Baptist faith. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Lou Ellen Moody, Willarene Wallace, Willie Hardemon, Catherine Maddox and James Houston;
