They at last had their wonderful boat and a most beautiful lake to enjoy living their dream. After retiring, Glen needed a buddy while Nancy was teaching, so he found one in his parrot. He named her "Rebel". He spent many, many hours teaching her to talk and even to sing "Deep in the Heart of Texas" and "You are my Sunshine".
