Grace Hickman

Grace Hand Hickman, loving Mother, Granny and Sister, passed away Sunday January 4, 2009 in Kingwood, Texas. She was born August 10, 1916 in Cleburne to Lee W. and Nina Larr Hand. She married William Martin Hickman Jr., June 18, 1943 in Rotan, Texas.

Mrs. Hickman was a homemaker and was also a secretary for central supply for the Beeville ISD, in Beeville, Texas, where they lived for thirty-seven years. She moved back to Cleburne in 1993 a year after his death. She was a member of Nolan River Road Baptist Church and a member of Hope Sunday School Class. Her hobbies were cooking and gardening.

Grace Hand Hickman is survived by children, Charles L. Hickman and wife, Patsy, of Houston, Sarah Hearn and husband, Bill of Kingwood and step-son, William (Billy) Martin Hickman, III of Beaumont; sister, Inez Brown, of Richardson; five grandsons, one granddaughter, three great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Clarice Marchman and Nelda Stewart Morgan.

Memorials may be made to Nolan River Road Baptist Church Building Fund.
