Grady Meek

Service for Grady Meek, 86, of Rio Vista will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Chaplain David Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Grady Meek passed away Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 in Rio Vista. He was born April 7, 1931 in Rio Vista to Hedrick Fulton and Lucy Aline Todd Meek. He married Bettye Jean Gilbert on June 1, 1950 in Cleburne. She preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 2015, after 64 years of marriage.

Grady was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, dedicated business owner of Meek’s Garage for 60 years, devoted Deacon of Friendship Baptist Church, loving husband, beloved “Dad”, precious “Poppa”, adored family member, and treasured friend.

Survivors include his son, Jerry A. Meek and wife Debbie of Cleburne; daughter, Sherri Meek Moncrief of Cleburne; grandchildren, Amber Meek, Casey Moncrief and Tanner Moncrief, all of Cleburne. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edwin Meek of Rio Vista.
