Greg Rumohr

Service for Greg Rumohr, 53, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 16, 2015 in the Somervell County Expo Center, 202 Bo Gibbs Blvd. in Glen Rose. Mr. Charlie Throckmorton will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.

Greg Rumohr passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 in Bosque County. He was born June 23, 1961 in Cereal, Alberta, Canada to Gordon Stanley and Grace Marion Beaudoin Rumohr. He married Donna Kaye Johnson on December 31, 1995 in Cleburne.

Before moving to Texas and making rodeo his career, Rumohr had been a four-time Golden Gloves champion, a Junior Boxing champion, a two-time Alberta Junior Hockey League All-Star Team participant and a Class A hunting and fishing guide.

He started his rodeo career in 1985, where he won many awards and in 1990 the title of World Champion Bullfighter.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Rumohr of Rio Vista; two children, Railey Rumohr and Ruby Rumohr, both of Rio Vista; parents, Gordon and Grace Rumohr of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada; sisters, Joan Bakke, Lynn Pearson and husband Doug; brother, Reg Rumohr and wife Renee, all of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada; father-in-law, Bernis Johnson of Cleburne; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernie and Jana Johnson, John and Lesa Gustafson, and David and Karen Johnson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews in Canada and in Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Frances Johnson.
