Funeral Mass for Guillermo Manzanales Moreno, 84, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 22, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will follow the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Greenacres Memorial Park.
Mr. Moreno passed away Monday, April 19, 2010 in Cleburne. He was born to Encarnacion Moreno and Inocencia Manzanales on June 21, 1925 in Rosebud, Texas. He married Juanita Balderas on February 14, 1948. Guillermo lived most of his life in San Angelo where he was a farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. "Old Grandpa" as many of his grandchildren called him, was a dedicated family man and hard worker. He was also known as a character, always joking and having fun. He enjoyed fishing after work with his sons in his younger years. He will be missed greatly by all those that knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters; one grandchild; and one daughter in law.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita B. Moreno of Cleburne; five sons, Guillermo Moreno, Jr. of Winters, Evelio Moreno and Ismael Moreno of Cleburne, Isaac Moreno and wife, Esperanza of Winters, and Eddie Moreno of San Angelo; brother, Theodoro Moreno of Flomot; 22 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
