Harold Hardcastle

Service for Harold Gwynne Hardcastle, 85, of DeCordova Bend Estates, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 28, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Godley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Hardcastle died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Granbury. He was born December 18, 1928 in Godley to Noal Alvie and Frances Leanora Horton Hardcastle. He married Mary Ann Griffith on September 4, 1949 in Godley.

Mr. Hardcastle worked as a supervisor for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, retiring with 39 and a half years of service. He was of the Baptist faith and an active member of the DCBE Mens Golf Association.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann Hardcastle, of DeCordova Bend Estates; two sons, Keith Hardcastle and wife Dianne of League City, TX and Mark Hardcastle of Greensboro, NC; daughters, Carol G. Hardcastle of DeCordova Bend Estates, and Mary Kay Hardcastle of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren, Jason, Paige, Ashley, Brianna, and Jackson; two great grandchildren, Riley and Hayden; sister, Marjorie Earle and husband John of Arlington, TX; and two brothers, George Hardcastle and wife Barbara of Gainesville, TX and Gerald Hardcastle of Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Samuel Edward Hardcastle and Rodney Lee Hardcastle.
