Graveside service with military honors for Harold H. “Bo” Hughes, 78, of Whitney will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 3, 2013 in the Bono Cemetery. Open visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Bo Hughes passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 in Ft. Worth. He was born December 3, 1934 in Morgan to Charley and Elsie Moore Hughes.
Mr. Hughes served his country in the United States Air Force. He loved hunting, camping and being outdoors. He was also known as a “river rat” and enjoyed visiting with all the other “river rats.” Fishing, especially for yellow cats was a favorite pastime. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Mike Hughes and wife Hang and Russell Hughes and wife Rhonda; grandchildren, Randy, Dustin, Jason, Jessica, Craig, Justin and Hai; great grandchildren, Hayden, Brayden, Byrun, and Kayla; sisters, Betty Lou Blalock and Alma Laura Hughes; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends and his beloved German Shepard, Lady. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jackie Veal, Billie Thompson and Mary Bob Waldie; brother, Charles Hughes and a granddaughter, Lisa Hughes.
