Memorial service for Harold W. Johnston, 85, of Grandview will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, January 8, 2015, at The Lord’s House of Salvation in Cleburne. Pastor Brandi Miller will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Chambers, Brad Syndergaard, Feris Williams, Travis Ball, Clayton Ball, Nathan Landry, Mark Landry, Mike Landry, Jim Hartley and Burgess Armstrong.

Harold W. Johnston passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015, in Grandview. He was born February 28, 1929, in Clarendon, Texas, to W.C. and Pearl Mae Broughton Johnston. He married Linda Baker on June 6, 1995, in Johnson County.

Mr. Johnston was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and a self-employed master machinist. He was a member of Watts Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Johnston of Grandview; son, Todd Johnston and wife Carolyn of Burleson; daughters, Barbara Landry and husband Michael of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Tracie Miller and husband Brandi of Cleburne: eight grandchildren, Dana, Nathan, Amber, Mark, Travis, Clayton, Keris and Ariel: eight great-grandchildren, Tory, Landon, Luella, Preston, Ily, Layne, Katie and Cooper: brothers, Don Lamar Johnston of Amarillo and Chesley Colombus Johnston and wife Betty of Pampa: four step-children, Monica Roper of Grandview, Lisa Murry of Cleburne, Shenna Thorpe and Sue Jones of Austin: stepgrandchildren, Madison and Russell. He was preceded in death by his parents and two stillborn siblings.
