Harold Louis Wilson passed away in Anaheim, California on March 22, 2021. Harold was born May 11, 1939 in Johnson County, Texas, the son of James Louis Wilson and Audrey Estelle Pernell. Harold was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Joyce, in 1951; his mother, Audrey in 1952; his father James in 1971 and his sister Kathryn Sue in 2018. He is survived by brothers Charles Wilson of Cleburne, Texas, and Rick Robinson of White Settlement, Texas and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Harold is also survived by one Aunt, Iva Gean McElroy of Cleburne, Texas.
Interment will be at the Cleburne Memorial Cemetery, Cleburne, Texas. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Harold lived much of his life in California where he designed printed circuit boards; and worked in warehousing, newspaper and car maintenance industries as well as other employments. From January 12, 1990 until April 21, 2011 he was employed part time by the City of Anaheim Convention Center doing setup and cleanup for events.
Harold learned to be a hard worker through chores to be done, including working in the dairy at home, which for several years was the Texas Baptist Children’s Home in Round Rock, Texas. After graduating from Round Rock High School, Harold studied music at McMurray College in Abilene, Texas. Music was a lifelong love for Harold. Harold had the quality of perseverance, having endured difficult situations in his early life, and believed in standing his ground for the things of which he was convinced. Harold was known to have a good sense of humor. He also enjoyed the simpler side of life and was satisfied to be alone and spend time at the local café drinking coffee, smoking and reading magazines.
