Harriett Roye

Services for Harriett Allean "Pat" Roye, 87, of Blum will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Sam Houston will officiate. Burial will be in the Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Benny Conner, Tommy Watson, Bobby Watson, William Watson, Ronnie Watson and Tracie Watson. Pat Roye passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007 in Keene. She was born Nov. 30, 1919 in Hill County to Phillip Frederick and Martha Louetta Roberts Watson. She married H.A. Roye on Oct. 21, 1944 in Cleburne. Mrs. Roye was a member of the Woodrow Baptist Church where she played the piano for Sunday morning services before her illness. She was a past member of the Blum Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Auxillary of the Blum Vol. Fire Department. She and her husband owned and operated their dairy for many years and she also enjoyed sewing. This would be a much better world if everyone was as kind, sweet, gentle, sincere and understanding as she was. She was always there and ready to help if you needed her. Her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren were the apples of her eye.
Mrs. Pat Roye is survived by her husband of 62 years H.A. Roye of Blum; daughter and son in law, Shirley and Joe Poteet of Blum; grandson Tim Poteet and wife LaDonna of Blum; granddaughter, Amy Poteet-Fisher and husband Bruce of Oklahoma; greatgrandchildren, Trystan, Trevor and Joe Roye Poteet; brothers, O.P. Watson and wife Jean of Blum and Phillip Watson and wife Betty of Walnut Springs; sister, Mary Conner of Cleburne and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Joe and Lowell Watson and one sister Ruth Wray.
