Harvey Roberts

Services for Harvey C. Roberts, Sr. 93, of Keene, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2009, in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Youth Chapel. Elder Phil Robertson and Elder Joe Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Keene Memorial Park.

Harvey C. Roberts, Sr. passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009 in Ft. Worth. He was born July 20, 1915 in Port Arthur to Emmit Howard and Mattie Jennings Roberts. He married Velma Mae Rankin on February 15, 1935 in Kosoma, OK.

Mr. Roberts was a member of Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was the first police officer of Keene and also served as assistant fire chief of Keene.

Harvey C. Roberts, Sr. is survived by his sons, Clinton Roberts and wife, Betty of Cleburne and Curtis Roberts and wife, Dot of Granbury; daughters, Phyllis Roberts and husband, Larry of St. George, Utah and Carolyn Page of Keene; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Mae Roberts in 1998; one sister and four brothers.
