Services for Hattie May Brown, 83, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 8, 2008, in the Emmanuel Temple Church. The Reverend Pearlye Brown and Pastor Rosarlyne W. House will officiate. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado.
Pallbearers will be Deacons: Kelly Wilson, Shawn Roy, Ray Johnson, Marion McLean, Richard Samson and George Morris.
Hattie May Brown passed away Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 in Cleburne. She was born April 24, 1924 in Alvarado to Charlie Baker and Sarah Reese. She married Pearlye Brown, Sr. on January 21, 1955 in Cleburne. Mrs. Brown was a retired nurses aide and a member of the Emmanuel Temple Church where she served as the President of the Mission's Department and was the founder of the food pantry.
Mrs. Brown is survived by 3 sons, Rev. Pearlye Brown of Keene, L.B. Brown of Austin and L.J. Brown of Lockhart; 2 daughters, Alice Sansom of Cleburne and Marie Brown of Bartlett; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
