Hazel Cox

Committal service for Hazel Cox, 89, of Frisco, will be conducted at 9:15 A.M., Friday, October 14, 2011 in the DFW National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Cox, Scott Cox, Cameron Cox, Jason Smith, Jamin Smith and Eric Dupree. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 A.M., in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Brad Cox will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cox passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011 in Plano. She was born March 7, 1922 in Kopperl to H.A. and Minnie Joines McBride. She married Howard Coleman Cox on January 6, 1941 in Cleburne.

Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Frisco.

Survivors include her sons, Don Cox and wife, Janece of Frisco and Randy Cox and wife Trudy of Pasadena, Calif.; seven grandchildren, John Cox and wife Larissa, Scott Cox and wife Lori, Christi Cox Schwalk and husband Tim, Cameron Cox and wife Amanda, Jodi Smith Dupree and husband Eric, Jason Smith and wife Tracy and Jamin Smith and wife Tina; nine great grandchildren, Connor, Cassidy Camile, Tyler, Tanner, Jaden, Caleb, Sevy and Kenley. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Cox on Dec. 8, 2009; five brothers and sisters.
