Service for Hazel Miller Jarrell, 88, of Joshua, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 4, 2022 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the funeral home.
Hazel passed away February 28, 2022 in Fort Worth. She was born January 16, 1934 in Picayune, Mississippi to Joseph and Cinderella Boswell Miller. Hazel married Reverend Robert Jarrell on September 17, 1949 in Tylertown, Mississippi. They ministered to countless congregations as well as pastored and built several churches for the Church of God throughout the southern United States. She was a member of Joshua Lighthouse Church. Hazel was a prayer warrior and loved Gospel music. She shone bright not only from her “bling” but through her spirit too. Hazel cooked her Cajun food and home cooking for everyone. She was an avid plant and flower gardener, especially roses, baked cakes and made crafts of all kinds. She will be missed greatly.
Hazel is survived by her children and their spouses, Cindy Jarrell, Bruce Allen and Yvonne Jarrell and Angel and Mark Lindbergh; daughter in law, Cathy Jarrell; grandchildren, Savonne Caughey, Shanna Caughey, Richard Caughey, Mandi Howell, Bo Jarrell, Casey Morin, Brad Jarrell, Zachary Jarrell, Heather Ramsey, Stephen Ramsey, Curtis Ramsey, and Lacey Robles; numerous great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel Miller Pulling; nieces, nephews and host of other relatives and friends.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Bobby Joe Jarrell; siblings, Velma Cooper, Vondell Powell, Marie Williams and Carlos Miller.
