Helen Mason Zubia

Helen Mason Zubia, aged 86, of Fort Worth, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. A funeral mass will be held in her honor at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 16, 2024, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Cleburne, followed by interment at Rosehill Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.

Born on February 18, 1938, in Cleburne to Ross Manuel and Petra Fuentes Mason, Helen dedicated many years to her career with the Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD) and Texas Christian University (TCU). She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and found joy in gardening and cherished her role as a beloved mother, deeply devoted to her family.

Helen is survived by her husband, Ruben Zubia; children, Ricky Stanfield, Susan Stanfield Mayfield, and Steven Stanfield; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Delfina Treece and Rosie Donahue; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Augustine Mason (Mesa).
