Graveside service for Helen Margaret Pierce-Edington, 78, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 in the DFW National Cemetery. Pastor Penny Hummer and Pastor Jim Bob Simmons will officiate.

Mrs. Edington passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 in Ft. Worth. She was born Jan. 1, 1933 in Tyler, TX to James Wilford and Mildred Gertrude Benford Fitzgerald. She married Larry Joe Edington in 1980 in Goliad, TX.

Mrs. Edington was a retired Protocol Officer with the Red River Army Depot in Texarkana. She was a member of the Schertz, TX. Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Confederacy, Soldiers for Christ Motorcycle Ministry and was active in the Bill Glass prison ministry. She attended Faith Depot Church.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Joe Edington of Cleburne; three grandchildren, Joe White, Carl White and David White; adopted grandchildren, Farris Fetsch, Ruth Jones, Rachel Burkes and Casey Hummer, all of TX; a number of stepchildren and great grandchildren and one brother Col. Henry Fitzgerald of Knoxville, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sherri Lynn White; one son, James Richard Meadows; and a brother, Dicky Fitzgerald.
