Henry Bedford

A Celebration of Life will be held for Henry “Hank” Bedford, Jr., 93, of Keene, at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 21, 2023 in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Keene.
Hank passed away in Fort Worth on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. He was born to Henry, Sr and Viola Gragg Bedford on January 23, 1929 in Wink, Texas. Hank married Lynn Shelton on September 27, 1953 in Quartzsite, Arizona. He served in the United States Army from 1952-1954. Hank was a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and worked throughout the country for over 47 years before retiring at the age of 83. Hank was a family man who truly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always willing and ready to saddle up a horse for them at a moment’s notice. He was a devoted Christian man, who taught Sabbath school for most of his life and was an active member of the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church. Hank was an outgoing man who loved to visit with people. He was also a generous man – with his time, resources and talents as well as donating faithfully to religious causes and a variety of charities. He was an animal lover, of all kinds. Hank enjoyed spending time farming, gardening and woodworking. His love of family and giving spirit will be forever treasured by those he leaves behind. Hank was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Dona Blair, Verna Bedford and Beloit Bedford.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Lynn Bedford; children and their spouses, Genni & John Kerbs, Bruce & Jennifer Bedford, and Melinda & Steve Brown; 9 grandchildren, Aubrey, Brittney, Meagan, Shelby, April, Brandon, Morgan, Aaron and Alex; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
