Henry Manasco

Henry Manasco, 91, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at his home in Fort Worth. He was born to the late, Calvin T. and Jeffie Lou Underwood Manasco on July 18, 1918 in Alvarado. He married Jessie Pearl Westbrook on September 29, 1940 in Marietta, OK. Henry served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He worked as an Electronic Engineer for 25 years with General Dynamics and then with Motorola for 8 years. Henry was a member of the Masonic Lodge, #315, Order of the Eastern Star Ruth Chapter #20 and Everman Chapter #624. He served as past Worthy Patron four times. Mr. Manasco is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dee and J.C. Manasco; and two sisters, Lena Kirkland and May Roten.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Manasco of Fort Worth; daughter and son in law, Becky and Bobby Massegee of Alvarado; grandchildren, Somer and Chad Massegee of Alvarado; nephews, Elmer Kirkland of Alvarado, Leonard Roten of Topeka, KS, and Jimmy Manasco of Alvarado; niece, Mary Evelyn Martin of Beaumont; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Crosier-Pearson-Cleburne Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Acton Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6-8:00pm, Friday, August 21, 2009. You may leave condolences, view obituary and photo at www.cpcleburne.com
