Henry Moore

Service for Henry Buddy Gabbert Moore, 88, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00A.M., Saturday, August 24, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Chaplain Eddy Carrell will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Williams, Marti Williams, Chad Utley, Danny Barrett, Al Pawelek, and Charles Moore. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Moore passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in Cleburne. He was born February 14, 1925 in Covington to Sam and Hazel Long Moore. He married Virginia Ruth Henslee in 1960.

Mr. Moore worked as a meter reader for Texas Power and Light for 27 years in the Godley, Grandview and Cleburne area. He also delivered medicine for Royces Pharmacy for 10 years. He never met a stranger and played a special part in the lives of his nieces and nephews as a father figure. He was a good man with a great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Virginia Ruth Henslee Moore; sons, Bill Williams and wife Jean and Milton Williams and wife Saundra; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Jimmie Carlock, Peggy Applegate, and Betty Robinson; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lee Bell McGinnis, Kathryn Hargrove and Eota Boshear and brothers, Bates, J.D, Billy, C.J. and Joe Moore.
