Henry Everett Sapp passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2005 in Ft. Worth. He was born Dec. 13, 1937 in Green Cove Springs, FL. to Henry Harrison and Ina Rose DeBolt Sapp. He married Ilah Tucker on July 9, 1987 in Ft. Worth. He retired in 1990 from Cape Canaveral Space Center. He served in four military branches; U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U. S. Navy and the Coast Guard. He was a member of the American Legion Post 552 in Whitney. Mr. Sapp was an accomplished country and western and blues musician where he played all string instruments. He was best known as a country and western lead guitarist. His professional career began on a radio show at the age of 8.
Mr. Sapp is survived by his wife of 18 years, Ilah Tucker Sapp of Cleburne; two daughters, Darla Hogberg and husband Nels; Karen Macy and husband Joe; three grandchildren; step children, Michael, Melinda and Richard Tucker; brother in law, Randy Anderson and sister Edna Riens.
