Services for Herman Henslee, Jr., 81, of Granview will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. B.B. Stevens will officiate. Burial will be in the Georges Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews, Jeremy, Cody, Brandon, Preston, Mark and Larry.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Monday.
Mr. Henslee passed away Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 in Ft. Worth. He was born Aug. 25, 1928 in Granbury to Herman and Faye Lorene Cheek Henslee. He married Billy Jean Scarberry on Aug. 26, 1950 in Cleburne. Mr. Henslee was a member of the Westhill Church of Christ. He was a past Master of the Cleburne Masonic Lodge #315, he was active in the Masonic York Rite, a member of the Scottish Rite and a past Patron of the Ruth Chapter #20 Order of the Eastern Star. Mr. Henslee service his country proudly in the U.S. Army in Korea. Mr. Henslee was a store dept. clerk for the Santa Fe Rail Road, retiring after 43 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Billy Henslee of Granview; daughter; Tami Renfro and husband Mel of Cleburne; son, Terry Henslee and wife Patti of Cleburne; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Cody, Brandon, Whitney, Preston and Natalie; brothers, Kenneth, Jimmy and Donny Henslee and sister, Shirley Smith.
