Herschell Davis

Services for Herschel Davis, 70, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Brother Raymond Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandson, Chad Hackler, Brody Hackler, Zane Hackler, Nic Beonoit, Casey Davis and Brad Davis; also John Biggs and C. T. Yeats. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Davis, Rece Gustafson and Braxton Benoit (great-grandson, best pal and fishing buddy).
Herschel Davis passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 in Cleburne. He was born February 24, 1938 in Alvarado, TX to Edie and Marguerite Zuette Bransom Davis. He married Barbara Ann Tidwell on December 16, 1977 in Lewisville, TX.
Mr. Davis retired after 36 years of service with Bell Helicopter as an aircraft assembler. He was a member of Cleburne Elks Lodge and was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing, hunting and he loved life.
Herschel Davis is survived by his wife, Barbara Davis of Cleburne; sons, Aaron Davis and wife, Melody of Ft.Worth, Rusty Gustufson and wife, Brandie of Rockwall and Clint Davis and wife, Brandy of Alvarado; daughters, Tonya Hackler and husband, Butch of Rio Vista and Debbie Trotter of Ft. Worth; brothers, Douglas Davis of Alvarado and Donald Davis of Midlothian; sisters, Ola Mae Bransom of Lake Tawakoni and Nadine Richardson of Forrest Hill; sister-in-law, Janis Davis of Alvarado; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edie and Marguerite Davis and brother, Elvin Davis.
