Services for Hettie Mae Hasty, 92, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Mark Ely and Rev. Charles Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Yale Gibbs, Cody Hasty, Jason Procter, Dan Lee Hasty, Josh Hasty, Rusty Street, Aaron Hasty, Steve Miller, Freddie Roop, Cameron Walls, Gene Pack and Kirk Hasty.
Hettie Mae Hasty passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in Glen Rose. She was born October 19, 1916 in Kopperl to Willis Monroe and Nancy Alice Dora Cheek Billings. She married Arthur Leon Hasty on July 26, 1934 in Meridian.
Mrs. Hasty was a retired seamstress for Walls Industry for over 30 years. She was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church and was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.
Hettie Mae Hasty is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Marlene Rhone and husband, Carl of Dals Port, WA, Gale Gibbs and husband, James of Cleburne and Judy Sims of Crane ; three sons, Donnie Ray Hasty and wife, Julie of Cleburne, Johnny Hasty and wife, Sharon of Cleburne and Ronnie Hasty and wife, Dianne of Granbury; two brothers, Elvis Billings and wife, Arlene of LaGrange and Harrell Billings and wife, Clara Ann of Tolar; three sisters, Mildred Trammel of Ava, MO, Geniva Sewell of Dridder, LA and Virginia Womack of Wilcox, AZ; fifteen grandchildren, Tony Mann, Terry Mann, Rusty Street, Johnnie Street, Tammy Miller, Tena Walls, Yale Gibbs, Kirk Hasty, Denise Hasty, DeLynn Guede, Gene Pack, Dearl Hasty, Dan Lee Hasty, Tori Procter and Cody Hasty; forty-two great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Leon Hasty on July 31, 1981; two great-grandchildren and one brother, Ray Billings.
